Former President Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden in five out of six surveyed swing states, according to a New York Times-Siena College poll released this week. It’s unwelcome news for Democrats, but after Kentucky’s Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear won reelection Tuesday in a state Biden lost by more than 25 points in 2020, some see a path to victory using Beshear’s playbook, even if Biden remains unpopular.
